PAPER MOSAIC ART INSPIRED BY FRENCH ARTIST @INVADERWASHERE

After learning about internationally acclaimed artist Invader, students created a
mosaic based of pixel art. Invader has been rewarded with his interesting twist
on early 80s video game art by being asked place his art on a European Space

formal artwork size (minimum 6x8) with half “ squares.
2. Drawing and planning their grid from line, shape to color.
3. Transferring their grid to a formal piece of paper
4. Measuring, cutting, placing their squares to fit into their grid
5. Using the skills of alignment, neatness and placement
6. Refining the mosaic if any pieces needed to be resized.

Students chose their own topic based off popular culture and iconography they
liked and wanted to pursue as an artwork.
