Plumbing
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This program provides students with an understanding of basic Plumbing Theory. It includes the usage of tools, materials (PVC & Cast Iron) and joining methods in the trade. Students gain the skills needed to repair and maintain plumbing equipment, heaters, and boilers.
Certification acquired through this sequence are the following:
- NCCER Core
- NCCER Plumbing Level One
- OSHA-30 Construction Industry

9TH GRADE CLASSES & REGENTS
English, Global History, Algebra I, Living Environment, Spanish, Physical Education, Exploratory

10TH GRADE CLASSES & REGENTS
English, Global History, Geometry, Earth Science, Physical Education, Plumbing, Art
Regents: Geometry, Global History, and Earth Science
11TH GRADE CLASSES & REGENTS
English, US History, Algebra II, Chemistry, Physical Education, Plumbing
Regents: English, US History, Algebra II, and Chemistry
12TH GRADE CLASSES & REGENTS
English, US Government (fall) AND Economics (spring), Algebra II, Physics, Physical Education, Plumbing, Career & Financial Management

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Courses that may be substituted in specified area of study: AP classes, College Now, and honors classes
- 65 or higher on all required Regents exams
- CTE technical assessment in plumbing
- 60 hours Work Based Learning
- One year of College Now courses
- All plumbing students must complete a 4th year of math
- All senior students must complete their Career Portfolios
