Electrical Installation
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This program emphasizes the knowledge and practical skills required for entry-level craft workers with a narrow focus on Electrical Installation. Students will be able to not only build construction knowledge but also acquire the knowledge needed to be a professional in the construction industry. Topics covered are Basic Electrical Circuitry, Residential Wiring, Motor Controls, and Construction Site Safety Training.
Certifications acquired through this sequence are the following:
- NCCER Core
- NCCER Electrical Level One
- OSHA-30 Construction Industry
- 10-Hour Site Safety Training
- Copper-Based cabling & Networking
- Energy Management Systems

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Courses that may be substituted in specified area of study: AP classes, College Now, and honors classes
- 65 or higher on all required Regents exams
- CTE technical assessment in electrical installation
- 60 hours Work Based Learning
- One year of College Now courses
- All electrical installation students must complete a 4th year of math
- All senior students must complete their Career Portfolios
